Abstract: Beauvoir’s feminist thought offers a powerful critical tool for addressing new gender predicaments in the digital age, such as algorithmic bias and the penalty of motherhood. Her dialectical logic of “freedom as responsibility” prompts women to reconstruct their life narratives amid the alienation of consumerism and opens up a path for cultural transformation through “practical freedom in specific circumstances”. By deconstructing the mechanism of “social gender” construction and criticizing the dual oppression system of patriarchy, the complementarity with Marxist feminist thought can be revealed, thereby uncovering Beauvoir’s outstanding contributions to the theory and practice of women’s liberation and her profound influence on contemporary feminism. This provides a theoretical resource for the global gender equality movement that is both critical and constructive.
