文化翻译观视角下《逍遥游》中文化负载词的英译探究
A Study of English Translation of Culture-Loaded Words in Xiaoyao You from the Perspective of Cultural Translation Theory
摘要: 《庄子》是道家的经典，它蕴含的哲学思想对中国文学、审美的发展有着深远影响。而《逍遥游》作为《庄子》的开篇之作，集中体现了庄子“逍遥游”的哲学思想。本研究拟从巴斯奈特的文化翻译观出发，以英国汉学家理雅各的译本为范例，对《逍遥游》里生态文化负载词、语言文化负载词、宗教文化负载词、物质文化负载词、社会文化负载词这五大类文化负载词的英译问题展开探究。
Abstract: Chuang-Tzu is a Taoist classic, and the philosophical thoughts it contains have had a profound impact on the development of Chinese literature and aesthetics. As the opening work of Chuang-Tzu, Xiaoyao You embodies Chuang-Tzu’s philosophical idea of “wandering freely”. From the perspective of Bassnett’s cultural translation theory, this study will take the British sinologist Legge’s Translation as an example to explore the English translation of the five classes culture-loaded words of Xiaoyao You, including ecology culture-loaded words, linguistic culture-loaded words, religious culture-loaded words, material culture-loaded words and social culture-loaded words.
