摘要: 自2013年落地西安以来,OCAT始终活跃于西安的当代艺术市场。本文立足于OCAT馆址的变化,说明了以OCAT西安馆为代表的艺术展馆对于观众从文化背景、经济状况以及情感诉求等方面的隐性筛选机制,进一步解释了这种筛选机制所运用的地缘逻辑的不同方面;同时本文也认为观众与非观众的行动同样存在着反作用力,二者共同构成了以地缘关系为纽带的当代艺术张力网。
Abstract: Since its establishment in Xi’an in 2013, OCAT has remained active in the city’s contemporary art market. Grounded in the analysis of OCAT’s venue relocation, this paper elucidates the implicit screening mechanism employed by art institutions, represented by OCAT Xi’an, which filters audiences based on cultural background, economic status, and emotional appeals. It further explains the different facets of the geographic logic underpinning this screening mechanism. Concurrently, the paper argues that the actions of both visitors and non-visitors exert a reciprocal force, collectively forming a network of tension within contemporary art that is bound by geographic relationships.
