沈从文《湘行散记》对宗白华“含蓄美”理论的现代演绎
Shen Congwen’s Xiangxing Sanji as a Modern Interpretation of Zong Baihua’s Theory of “Restrained Beauty”
摘要: 本文以宗白华《美学散步》阐释的“含蓄美”理论为视域，解读沈从文《湘行散记》的留白与含蓄笔法。沈从文的含蓄非技巧省略，而是一种尊重对象自主性与神秘性的“诗意凝视”，其通过情感克制、叙事留白、意境虚化，将传统美学化为现代散文肌理，实现“言有尽意无穷”的现代性转化，并彰显守护生命本真的伦理向度。
Abstract: This paper, taking the theory of “restrained beauty” expounded by Zong Baihua in “Aesthetic Walks” as the perspective, interprets the blank spaces and restrained writing style in Shen Congwen’s Xiangxing Sanji. Shen Congwen’s restraint is not a technical omission, but rather a “poetic gaze” that respects the autonomy and mystery of the object. Through narrative blanks, emotional restraint, and the virtualization of the artistic conception, he transforms traditional aesthetics into the texture of modern prose, achieving a modern transformation of “words end but meaning remains”, and highlighting the ethical dimension of safeguarding the authenticity of life.
