Diversification and Deficiency: A Brief Analysis of the Advertisement of Emily Dickinson and Her Works in the Chinese Online Market

摘要: 美国女诗人艾米莉·狄金森在世界文坛享有极高声誉，颇受中国读者的喜爱。本文基于当前国内主流网络购物平台，通过收集商品名称和详情页，对狄金森相关书籍宣传语进行调查分析，探究艾米莉·狄金森及其作品在中国网络市场的宣传情况。总体而言，这些宣传语展现了较为真实的狄金森形象，促进了其作品在中国读者中的传播和普及，但也存在着专业性欠缺、挖掘有限、过度捆绑和不实夸大等缺陷。未来，市场还需要在尊重客观事实的基础上加强对狄金森多样性创作的进一步挖掘，加快学术研究成果转化，构建更加真实、生动、立体的狄金森形象。

Abstract: Emily Dickinson, an American poetess, enjoys a high reputation in the world literary circle and is deeply admired by Chinese readers. Based on the current mainstream online shopping platforms in China, this article investigates and analyzes the advertisement of Dickinson-related books through collecting item names and detail pages, exploring the advertisement of Emily Dickinson and her works in the Chinese online market. Generally speaking, these slogans present a relatively real image of Dickinson, promoting the popularization of her works among ordinary Chinese readers. However, there are also deficiencies such as lack of professional knowledge, limited exploration, excessive bundling sales, and inaccurate personal life description. In the future, the market still needs to further explore Dickinson’s diverse creations on the basis of respecting objective facts, accelerate the transformation of academic research results, and build a more vivid image of Emily Dickinson.
