The Popularization Path of Historical Materialism and the Practice of “The Labor World”

摘要: 1920年8月创刊的《劳动界》，是中共上海早期组织指导工人运动的首份马克思主义刊物，也是早期组织尝试历史唯物主义通俗化的一次实践。刊物以“劳动创造价值”为核心，结合工人生存实践将劳动价值论、剩余价值理论等经典原理生活化转译。其“问题–理论–行动”闭环策略契合马克思主义认识论逻辑，多元文本形态构建了意识形态通俗化的哲学方法论雏形。该实践为早期工人运动奠基，开创马克思主义哲学大众化范式，对当代马克思主义哲学回应现实、通俗阐释“人的解放”具有重要启示。

Abstract: Launched in August 1920, “The Labor World” was the first Marxist publication guiding the workers’ movement by the early Shanghai organization of the Communist Party of China. It was also an attempt by the early organization to popularize historical materialism. Centering on the core idea that “labor creates value”, the publication translated classic principles such as the labor theory of value and the theory of surplus value into everyday language in light of the workers’ survival practices. Its “problem-theory-action” closed-loop strategy conformed to the logic of Marxist epistemology, and its diverse text forms constructed the rudimentary form of a philosophical methodology for the popularization of ideology. This practice laid the foundation for the early workers’ movement, initiated a model for the popularization of Marxist philosophy, and holds significant implications for contemporary Marxist philosophy in responding to reality and presenting a popular interpretation of “human liberation”.
