Abstract: This paper reviews the relevant studies on the relationship between social exclusion and moral judgment, aiming to reveal the internal mechanism through which social exclusion affects moral judgment and to prospect future research directions. Firstly, the paper defines social exclusion and its related concepts, and summarizes the main research paradigms and theoretical models of social exclusion. Secondly, it elaborates on the concept, theoretical foundation and influencing factors of moral judgment. On this basis, it sorts out the relevant studies on social exclusion and moral judgment, and finds that social exclusion not only affects individuals’ moral judgment, but may also exert an impact through emotional, cognitive and motivational pathways. However, the findings of existing studies remain inconsistent, and the direction and intensity of the impact are moderated by multiple factors. Future research should expand the research subjects to different age, cultural and clinical groups, strengthen longitudinal and cross-cultural studies, and further clarify the psychological mechanism underlying the effect of social exclusion on moral judgment, so as to deepen the understanding of the complex relationship between social exclusion and moral judgment.
