The Ming Dynasty’s Scholar Fu Zhenshang from Runan Studied in the Imperial Secretariat

摘要: 傅振商是明末汝南进士，选为庶吉士入翰林院，研学四年，得授御史。历官四朝，官至南京兵部尚书兼参赞机务。在任南京时，傅振商大力改革军务，军事政策积弊已久，难见成效，因不满党派之言，辞官隐退。目前学术界对其在翰林院的求学与日常轨迹研究相对较少，文章主要以《木天馆稿》为主要研究对象，根据方志、史料等文献，并结合《爱鼎堂全集选》《重校订丁未科翰林馆课全编》等选本，探究身为庶吉士的傅振商在翰林院研学的生活以及心路变化，对相关问题予以考辨，以推进相关研究的进一步展开。

Abstract: Fu Zhenshang was an imperial scholar from Runan in the late Ming Dynasty. He was selected as a Hanlin bachelor and entered the Hanlin Academy to study for four years. Afterwards, he was appointed as a censor. He served in four dynasties and rose to the position of Minister of War in Nanjing and concurrently served as a counselor. During his tenure in Nanjing, Fu Zhenshang vigorously reformed military affairs. However, due to the long-standing problems in military policies and the lack of visible results, he resigned and retired because he was dissatisfied with the remarks of the political factions. Currently, there is relatively little research on Fu Zhenshang’s studies and daily life in the imperial academy. This article mainly takes “Manuscripts of the Mutian Studio” as the main research object, and based on local chronicles, historical materials and other documents, and combined with selected works such as “Selected Works of the Aidangtang Collection” and “Revised and Collated Complete Collection of the Hanlin Academy Assignments of the Dingwei Imperial Examination”, it explores the life and mental changes of Fu Zhenshang as a Hanlin bachelor, and examines related issues to promote further research in this area.
