《三侠五义》系列小说中“井”的功能探究

A Study of the Functions of Wells in the Three Heroes and Five Gallants Series

摘要: 《三侠五义》《小五义》《续小五义》中常有与井有关的情节。日常使用的水井常因汲水引出人物相遇和识认；枯井、后园井则便于谋害、藏匿；《小五义》《续小五义》又把井的纵深和封闭用于机关设置。井在这些作品中的作用，与其具体使用状态密切相关。文章结合相关小说研究、空间叙事研究与井文化材料，参照其他小说中的相近井事，就几类关键案例展开具体考察。

Abstract: The Three Heroes and Five Gallants, The Young Five Gallants, and Sequel to the Young Five Gallants contain many episodes involving wells. Ordinary wells used for drawing water often lead to encounters and recognition between characters, while dry wells and wells in back gardens provide convenient settings for murder and concealment. The Young Five Gallants and Sequel to the Young Five Gallants further make use of the depth and enclosed space of wells in the design of traps and mechanisms. The functions of wells in these works are closely related to their actual conditions and uses. Drawing on relevant scholarship on the novels, studies of spatial narrative, and materials concerning the cultural meanings of wells, while also referring to similar well episodes in other works of fiction, this paper offers a detailed examination of several representative cases.
