On the Power Dynamics and Body Writing in Miyamoto Yuliko’s Nobuko in Flight

摘要: 《逃走的伸子》映照出新式知识女性身陷婚姻关系时的性别生存困境。既有研究大多立足于社会思想层面展开解读，对亲密关系中的权力作用与身体维度关注不足。文章基于福柯身体与权力理论，对小说中的身体书写进行分析，探究传统性别秩序如何借由婚姻日常生活完成对女性的规约与形塑。分析可见，女性身体承受着传统性别秩序的塑造，同时又为被压制的主体欲求提供表达出口，身体经验构成伸子重新认识自我并最终选择离开婚姻的重要中介。身体书写能够呈现公共话语遮蔽下的个体生存体验，为审视近代女性的主体处境提供独特的阐释思路。

Abstract: Nobuko in Flight reflects the gender survival predicament of modern Japanese intellectual women when they are trapped in marital relationships. Most previous studies have mainly conducted interpretations from the social ideological perspective, with insufficient attention paid to the role of power and the physical dimension in intimate relationships. This article, based on Foucault’s theory of body and power, analyzes the body writing in the novel, exploring how the traditional gender order completes the regulation and shaping of women through marital daily life. The analysis shows that the female body is shaped by the traditional gender order, while also providing an outlet for the suppressed subject’s desires. The body experience constitutes an important intermediary for Nobuko to re-recognize herself and ultimately choose to leave the marriage. The body writing can present the individual survival experience hidden from public discourse, providing a unique interpretive approach for examining the subjective situation of modern women.
