Abstract: Inorganic nanomaterials, a major part of most contrast media, have received wide attention due to their strong ability to enhance the contrast between the affected area and the surrounding tissue. In recent years, some inorganic nanomaterials such as magnetic iron oxide materials, nano gold materials, mesoporous silica materials and so on have been widely applied to magnetic resonance imaging, CT imaging, fluorescence imaging and so on. This article reviews the physicochemical properties of the above materials, the synthesis methods and their application in the field of imaging diagnosis, and gives a corresponding outlook for the research in this field.
