《所罗门之歌》中“小女人”和“大女人”形象的对比分析

摘要: 女性主题是托妮•莫里森作品的一个重要主题。本文主要从“小女人”和“大女人”的视角解读莫里森第三部作品《所罗门之歌》中的女性主题。小说中的派拉特是典型的“大女人”形象,在其他“小女人”形象的衬托下脱颖而出。她具有双性气质,美好的女性特质和理想的男性特质在她的身上和谐共生。通过塑造这样一个理想的女性,莫里森表达了她的性别文化理想。在她看来具有这样和谐人格的人才可以更好地在多元文化背景的世界里生存和发展。
Abstract: The feminine theme is one of the important cultural themes of Toni Morrison’s works, and so is Morrison’s third novel Song of Solomon. This paper mainly analyzes the feminine theme in Song of Solomon from the perspective of “little women” and “big woman”. Pilate, the female character in the novel, is a typical “big woman”. The “big woman” who has a combination of masculine traits and feminine traits shows up against the “little women” in the novel. Fine feminine virtues are integrated with ideal masculine ones harmoniously in her. By creating such an ideal female image, Morrison expresses her ideal of gender culture. In her opinion, ideal type of human beings should have both feminine virtues and masculine ones and human beings with harmonious personality can exist and develop better in the world with a heterogeneous cultural background.
