A Study on the Influence of College Students’ Attitudes towards Sexuality on Condom Use Resistance
Abstract: Correct and consistent use of condoms during sex can effectively prevent the risk of sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV, and unwanted pregnancies. However, the reality is that most college students report that they do not always use condoms during sex. By exploring the situation of college students refusing to use condoms and related influencing factors, this study provides more targeted support for the actual work of prevention and intervention of safety education for college students. In this study, 885 college students were surveyed. The results showed that con-dom refusal strategy was significantly correlated with gender, age of first sexual intercourse, number of sexual partners, number of casual sexual partners, history of STD infection, history of STD infection, and sexual openness. In the future, more attention should be paid to the education of sexual openness and sexual health behaviors in universities.
