父母教养方式与生命意义的关系:自尊的中介作用
The Relationship between Parenting Style and Life Meaning: The Mediating Role of Self-Esteem
摘要: 目的:探讨大学生父母教养方式与人生意义之间存在的关系,以及自尊在其中所起的作用。方法:采用中文人生意义问卷(C-MLQ)、自尊量表(SES)和父母教养方式评价量表(EMBU)对福建福州某大学在校生进行随机施测。结果:父亲/母亲情感温暖维度与生命意义总分及各维度分呈正相关(r = 0.429~0.463, p < 0.01);父亲/母亲拒绝维度和过度保护维度皆与生命意义总分及各维度分无明显相关。控制中介变量自尊后,“教养方式→大学生人生意义”的作用通径的效应值为0.2251 (0.0311, 0.4335),直接效应显著;把自尊作为因变量时,“教养方式→自尊”的作用通径的效应0.1678 (0.0011, 0.5544),间接效应显著,自尊部分中介了教养方式对大学生人生意义的影响。结论:父母教养方式与人生意义密切相关,自尊在其中起着中介作用。
Abstract: Objective: To explore the relationship between college students’ parenting style and the meaning of life, and the role of self-esteem. Methods: Chinese Meaning of Life Questionnaire (C-MLQ), Self- esteem Scale (SES) and Parenting Style Evaluation Scale (EMBU) were used to randomly test the students in a university in Fuzhou, Fujian. Results: The emotional warmth dimension of father/ mother was positively correlated with the total score of life meaning and all the dimensions (r = 0.429~0.463, p < 0.01); The dimensions of father/mother rejection and over protection are the total score of life meaning, and there is no obvious correlation between them. After controlling the mediator self-esteem, the effect value of the action path of “parenting style → meaning of college students’ life” is 0.2251 (0.0311, 0.4335), and the direct effect is significant; When self-esteem is taken as the dependent variable, the path effect of “parenting style → self-esteem” is 0.1678 (0.0011, 0.5544), and the indirect effect is significant. Self-esteem partially mediates the influence of parenting style on college students’ life meaning. Conclusion: Parental rearing patterns are closely related to the meaning of life, in which self-esteem plays an intermediary role.
