An Ecofeminism Interpretation of Tess of the D’Urbervilles
摘要: 《德伯家的苔丝》是托马斯•哈代所写的著名长篇小说。文章主要塑造了淳朴天真的乡村少女苔丝，通过对她悲惨经历的描写，揭示了19世纪维多利亚时代女性和自然资源遭受社会剥削和压迫的悲惨事实，探索了女性与自然的联系，表达了作者对社会的不满。本文将从生态女性主义角度解读《德伯家的苔丝》，分析苔丝与自然的联系，苔丝所遭受的压迫以及苔丝女性意识的觉醒。
Abstract:
Tess of the d’Urbervilles is a famous novel written by Thomas Hardy. The article mainly portrays the simple and naive country girl Tess. The description of her tragic experience reveals the tragic fact that women and natural resources suffered from social exploitation and oppression in the Victorian era in the 19th century, explores the connection between women and nature, and expresses the author’s dissatisfaction with society. This paper will interpret Tess of the D’Urbervilles from the perspective of ecofeminism, analyze the relationship between Tess and nature, the oppression Tess suffered and the awakening of Tess’s feminine consciousness.
