浅析“三美论”在《春江花月夜》英译本中的体现
Analysis of “The Moon over the River on a Spring Night” Based on “Three Beauties” Theory
摘要: 中国古诗语言精简，意义深刻，具有厚重的文化价值。古诗词翻译是传播中国传统文化的重要途径。许渊冲先生的著名诗歌翻译理论“三美论”在翻译领域中有着举足轻重的地位。文章以《春江花月夜》许渊冲英译本为例，浅要分析了意美、音美、形美在英译本中的体现，以期对许渊冲先生的“三美论”进一步了解，强调了“三美论”对诗歌英译所起的重要作用。
Abstract: Classical Chinese poetry is known for its concise language, profound meaning, and substantial cultural value. The translation of ancient Chinese poetry serves as a crucial means to propagate traditional Chinese culture. Mr. Xu Yuanchong’s renowned translation theory “Three Beauties” holds a significant position in the area of translation. This paper takes Xu Yuanchong’s English translation as a case study to analyze how to sense beauty, sound beauty, and form beauty are manifested in the English translation. It aims to deepen the understanding of Mr. Xu Yuanchong’s “Three Beauties” theory and emphasizes its pivotal role in the English translation of poetry.
