The Structure and Function of “Kai Bu Kai”

摘要: “开不开”的内部结构具有联合和中补两种类型，在句子中可以充当主语、谓语、宾语、定语和补语，作谓语为其主要的句法功能，能够受状语修饰，主要表达提问、警告和叙述三种语用功能，分别对应疑问句、祈使句和陈述句三种句类。这不仅完善了以往对“V不V”构式用于中补结构讨论的不足，也搭建起“开不开”结构和功能之间的相互关系。

Abstract: “Kai bu kai” has two types: internal structure and predicate-complement structure. It can act as a subject, predicate, object, attributive and complement in a sentence. As predicate is its main syntactic function, it can be modified by adverbials. It mainly expresses three pragmatic functions: questioning, warning and narration, which correspond to three sentence types: interrogative sentence, imperative sentence and declarative sentence. This not only improves the shortcomings of the previous discussion on the “V bu V” used in the predicate-complement structure, but also builds the relationship between the structure and function of “kai bu kai”.
