Analyzing the Influence of Bauhaus on Modern Design in China—Taking the Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong as an Example

摘要: 包豪斯作为20世纪最具影响力的设计学院，其“形式追随功能”、简约实用、艺术与技术统一的设计理念对世界建筑设计产生了深远影响。香港中银大厦在设计上体现了包豪斯理念的精髓，通过几何美学与功能性的完美结合、对中国传统文化的创新融合以及光影效果的巧妙运用，展现了现代主义设计与中国传统元素的和谐共存。本文探讨了包豪斯设计理念对中国现代建筑设计的影响，通过香港中银大厦的案例，为理解包豪斯理念在现代设计中的价值提供了新视角，揭示包豪斯设计理念在中国现代建筑设计中的具体应用与影响。本文分析表明，包豪斯理念推动了中国现代设计理念的普及，促进了设计风格的多元化，并提升了中国设计的国际影响力。然而，也需注意其对人文关怀和审美需求的潜在忽视。因此，本文强调在借鉴包豪斯理念时，应融合本土文化，关注人的需求，以实现中国现代设计的持续发展。

Abstract: As the most influential design school in the 20th century, Bauhaus’ design concepts of “form follows function”, simplicity and practicality, and the unity of art and technology have had a far-reaching impact on the world’s architectural design. The design of the Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong embodies the essence of the Bauhaus philosophy, through the perfect combination of geometric aesthetics and functionality, the innovative fusion of traditional Chinese culture, and the clever use of light and shadow effects, which demonstrates the harmonious coexistence of modernist design and traditional Chinese elements. This paper discusses the influence of Bauhaus design concepts on modern architectural design in China, and through the case of the Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong, it provides a new perspective for understanding the value of Bauhaus concepts in modern design, revealing the specific application and influence of Bauhaus design concepts in modern architectural design in China. The analysis of this paper shows that the Bauhaus concept has promoted the popularization of modern design concepts in China, facilitated the diversification of design styles, and enhanced the international influence of Chinese design. However, attention should also be paid to its potential neglect of humanistic concerns and aesthetic needs. Therefore, this paper emphasizes that when borrowing from the Bauhaus concept, it should integrate local culture and pay attention to human needs in order to realize the sustainable development of Chinese modern design.
