汉语中“脸”和“颊”对比演变分析

Analysis of the Contrastive Evolution of “Face” and “Cheek” in Chinese

摘要: “脸”字与“颊”字作为语义引申的古今字，古时语义相通，后为减轻原字负担，造就“脸”字，且“脸”字随着历史发展，语义扩大。从历时角度探究“颊”和“脸”古今字义项所发生的演变，对比分析“脸”和“颊”在字形、字义两方面的演变历程，探究其演变原因，为古今字演变提供佐证。

Abstract: The word “face” and the word “cheek” are semantic extensions of ancient and modern characters, the ancient meaning of the same. In order to reduce the burden of the original word, the word “face” was created, and its meaning expanded throughout history. From the diachronic point of view, this paper explores the evolution of the meanings of “cheek” and “face” in ancient and modern times, compares and analyzes the evolution of “face” and “cheek” in both font and meaning, and probes into the reasons for their evolution, providing evidence for the evolution of ancient and modern words.
