深度翻译视角下顾塞芬《论语》法译本的内副文本研究

A Study of the Peritexts in Séraphin Couvreur’s French Translation of Lun Yu from the Perspective of Thick Translation

摘要: 翻译中华典籍具有重要的历史文化意义，既能让外部世界了解中华文化，也能促进中外文化思想的交流。如何显化典籍原文中所蕴含的丰富含义以促进目的语读者对译本内涵的理解，是当下亟待进一步探究解决的问题。文章尝试探究深度翻译理论在典籍外译实践上的价值和局限性，通过对顾塞芬《论语》法译本的内副文本分析，指出深度翻译在给典籍外译拓宽道路的同时，也更加凸显了译者主体性的影响，需要辩证看待与把握。

Abstract: Translation of Chinese classics is of great historical and cultural significance, which not only enables the outside world to understand Chinese culture, but also promotes the exchange of Chinese and foreign cultural ideas. How to reveal the rich meanings in the original text of Chinese classics so as to promote the target language readers’ understanding of the translated text is a problem that needs to be further explored and solved. The article tries to explore the values and limitations of the theory of thick translation in the practice of translation of Chinese classics, and through the analysis of Séraphin Couvreur’s French Translation of Lun Yu, it is pointed out that while thick translation widens the way for translation of Chinese classics, it also highlights the influence of the translator’s subjectivity, which needs to be viewed and grasped in a dialectical way.
