Agency and Stability: Disintegration and Reconstruction of the Relationship between Humans and Non-Humans in Klara and the Sun

摘要: 小说《克拉拉与太阳》的叙述者克拉拉作为人工智能机器人，以非人类的视角看待社会变化与主角的情感波动，同时也冲击着人与非人的边界：人类中心主义逐渐发展到极致并转变为“唯科学主义”，每个人独立的个性被磨灭，人类与非人类的关系也被模糊化。小说中人物试图回忆过往、探寻出路，维持生活的安定，在其中，克拉拉起着重要的指引作用。另外，克拉拉叙述视角的其他非人类之物尤其是自然之物，也释放着动能与人类互动，两者在技术发展中被边缘化的相似性得以揭示，人类作为自然中和谐又独特的存在与非人类的关系得到了重构。

Abstract: The narrator of the novel Klara and the Sun, Klara, as an Artificial Friend, observes societal changes and the emotional fluctuations of the protagonist from a non-human perspective, simultaneously challenging the boundary between humans and non-humans. Anthropocentrism evolves to its extreme and transforms into “Scientism”, erasing individual uniqueness and blurring the original relationship between humans and non-humans. Throughout the novel, human beings persistently attempt to seek solutions and strive to maintain the stability of life, with Klara playing a pivotal guiding role in this process. Additionally, other non-human entities in Klara’s narrative perspective, particularly natural entities, exert their agency and interact with humans, revealing shared marginalization amid technological advancement, which reconstructs the relationship between humans, as harmonious yet distinct beings within nature, and the non-humans.
