后殖民生态批评视角下《悲伤之角》的动物书写
Animal Writing in Horn of Sorrow from a Postcolonial Ecocritical Perspective
摘要: 《悲伤之角》以小犀牛Thembalethu的成长悲剧,展现在人类活动影响下非洲犀牛的悲惨命运。本文从后殖民生态批评视角出发,并引入福柯的“权力话语”理论与非人类中心主义视角,深入剖析作品中的动物书写,揭示生态问题与权力关系的复杂交织,也映射人类权力的滥用与动物反抗的制衡。剧本通过其动物叙事,有力地批判了人类中心主义,并为构建多元物种共生的生态伦理提供了文学范本,这对当代生态保护与社会发展具有深刻的理论启示与现实意义。
Abstract: Horn of Sorrow portrays the tragic fate of African rhinoceroses under the impact of human activities through the growth tragedy of the young rhino Thembalethu. Drawing on a postcolonial ecocritical perspective, and incorporating Foucault’s theory of “power discourse” together with a non-anthropocentric viewpoint, this paper conducts an in-depth analysis of the work’s animal writing. It uncovers the complex entanglement between ecological issues and power relations, reflecting both the abuse of human power and the counter-balancing resistance of animals. Through its animal narrative, the play powerfully critiques anthropocentrism and offers a literary model for constructing an ecological ethic of multispecies coexistence, providing profound theoretical insights and practical significance for contemporary ecological conservation and social development.
